Yoga Nidra & Meditation Retreat

The Concept

Oxford dictionary defines “retreat” as a period of time when someone gives rest to their usual activities and visits a quiet place for prayer, thought, etc. On the other side, in eight limbs of Raja Yoga, the fifth limb Pratyahara is also termed as “retreat” which means withdrawal of the senses.

In broader perspective, both the meanings are same, indicate a period of time when we take a break from our usual activities, visit a peaceful place with calm surroundings, where with various Yogic techniques, we learn to withdraw the senses and connect with our inner-self, our inspiration, motivation and goal of the life, such that after returning  back to the our normal routine, we feel more capable of performing chores in a more efficient way.

With this perspective, this retreat is developed and will be conducted by Mr. Prashant Pandey, who is a Yoga Teacher, Therapist and Astrologer by profession. He is into Yoga teaching since 1996 and has vast experience in the field of health and spiritual wellness.

The Objectives

5 days retreat on Yoga Nidra & Meditation will be based on following objectives:-

  • For good physical health by the practices of Hatha Yoga.
  • For good mental health with the practices of Yoga Nidra.
  • For good emotional health with the practices of Meditation, i.e Trataka and Antar Mouna (Inner Silence)
  • Astrological consultancy to know about personality and work on SWAN (Strength, Weaknesses, Ambition, Need) principle.

Yogic components

The 5 days retreat includes the follwong components of yoga-

Hatha Yoga starts with body purification. In the retreat, the initial emphasis is given to the purification of the physical body through the traditional practices of shatkarmas followed by the practices of asanas, pranayamas, mudra and bandhas

Yoga Nidra is an art of relaxation through which the samskaras, the mental dirt,  that accumulates daily in our subconscious, is removed so that the progress of upliftment takes place in our life.

Meditation is a process to connect with our source by healing the emotional injury.

Health Management Portfolio (HMP) is a program developed by Mr. Prashant Pandey who is also a certified Astrologer with the title of “Jyotish Praveen” (Acquaintance with Astrology). In HMP, the science of Yoga, Astrology and Ayurveda is included. With the help of Astrological reading, a specific yoga program, appropriate diet and lifestyle guidance is given which help the participant to move ahead in a planned manner.

7.00 am to 8.30 am                      Hatha Yoga (Shatkarma, Asana, Pranayama)

8.30 am – 9.00 am                       Breakfast

12.00 noon – 1.00 pm                  Concept and practice of Yoga Nidra

1.00 pm – 2.00 pm                       Lunch

7.00 pm – 8.00 pm                       Concept and practice of Meditation

* Astrological consultancy will start from 3rd day of the retreat.
