There was an article in the New York Times about the rise of eco clubs and how this movement is starting to become more than just an environmental movement, but a community movement. They are using the term “ecofriends” to describe the type of people who are part of this movement. The article noted that the eco club movement is growing in popularity as the numbers of eco club members and enthusiasts continue to rise.
While I know there is a lot of misinformation and confusion about the term eco club, I would argue that a little self-awareness is in order. First, let’s clear up these misconceptions. First, there is no “ecofriends” or “ecocommunities”. It is a movement, not a club.
The word eco-friend is used to refer to a group of people who use the term eco-friend to describe people who are looking for a way to make a little extra cash. I’m pretty sure it’s not an easy phrase to say because it’s not an easy phrase to say. Also, the term eco-friend is not applicable to a group of friends.
